What It Took to Be Me – Naruto Meets Himself
Share
Setting: A quiet mindscape. Three Narutos. One journey.
Kid Naruto stands defiant — confused and angry.
He meets two versions of himself.
One after the war.
One after the world.
Kid Naruto: “The village hates me. Because of the fox.”
Teen Naruto: “He’s more than that.”
Hokage Naruto: “He became family.”
Then… the voice speaks.
Low. Familiar. Monstrous.
Kurama: “You hated me — but never knew me.”
“You’re alive because of me.”
The truth hits like a Rasengan to the chest:
Kurama wasn’t the curse.
He was the weight — and the strength.
Hokage Naruto: “When he was gone… it felt like losing family.”
Kurama: “You’ll learn the difference between a jailer… and a partner.”
Through pain, they found purpose.
Through loss, they built legacy.
From Iruka’s faith to Jiraiya’s death, from Neji’s sacrifice to Boruto’s smile —
Naruto was forged by scars… and kept every promise.
Teen Naruto: “We didn’t become Hokage because it was easy.”
Hokage Naruto: “Some promises break you before they come true. But we kept ours.”
This is ‘What It Took to Be Me.’
This is Naruto — in every form.
