Eren & Carla – The Hug Before the End

Setting: Shiganshina, a quiet kitchen. Somewhere outside of time.

He steps inside — no words. Just a hug. Tight. Desperate. Not for comfort, but closure.

Eren: “I don’t have the right to cry.”

Carla feels it: the weight in his breath, the silence in his eyes.
She knows something is broken.

Carla: “You’ve changed. Like you’ve seen too much.”
Eren: “I did. And now I can’t unsee it.”

He’s older now. Harder. The dreamer is gone.
In his place stands someone who knows the world — and plans to end it.

“You’ll die soon,” he tells her.
“And I let it happen.”

She doesn’t understand it all. But she still loves him.
Even now. Especially now.

Carla: “If you’re crying… then there’s still something left of my boy.”

He stands, turns to leave.
No goodbye. Just gravity.

Carla (softly): “You can always come home, Eren.”
Eren: “This was home. Until I broke it.”
